What is the DIGITAL KIT?
The Digital Kit or Digital Toolkit is a public financial aid program financed by the Next Generation EU funds aimed at the self-employed and SMEs in Spain that will contribute to the adoption of technological solutions for their digitalization.
The Digital Toolkit is key to Spain’s economic recovery in the coming years. Providing technology to the self-employed and SMEs in this country, which account for more than 95% of the business fabric, is committed to improving productivity and increasing competitiveness, and this happens, without any doubt, through the digitization of our companies.

Who can benefit from the Digital Kit grants?
The Government has segmented the businesses that can benefit from the digital kit, both in the call for aid and in the amount of the aid, into three different groups:
Segment I: Small companies, from 10 to 49 employees, which are estimated at 150,000 throughout Spain, with an amount of the digital bonus per company of 12,000€.
Segment II: Small or micro companies, from 3 to 9 employees, which are estimated to be 1,100,000 in Spain, with an amount of the digital bonus per company of €6,000.
Segment III: Small or micro companies and self-employed (self-employed persons), with a maximum amount of the digital voucher of €2,000.

Digital Kit Program Key Dates
- November 24, 2021: Presentation of the Digital Kit Program. The first bases are established and the different information portals are enabled. The beneficiaries of the grants can access their Private Area and take the different digital maturity tests.
- December 30, 2021: Publication of the regulatory bases of the Digital Kit in Provision 21873 of the BOE No. 313 of 2021.
- January 11, 2022: Registration is opened to the Digitalizing Agents so that they can offer their digital solutions.
- March 10, 2022: Will begin to grant the status of Digitizing Agent to the companies that have applied for it.
- March 15, 2022: First call for grants for SMEs from 10 to 49 employees. Subsidies will start to be granted to Segment I. Grants will be awarded from March 15 on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
- March – June 2022: Second call for grants for Segment II (3-9 employees) of up to €6,000 per company.
- Second half of the year 2022: Launch of the last call for grants aimed at Segment III (self-employed) which may receive a maximum of 2,000 euros, with the catalog of digital services adapted to their characteristics and needs until the budget of 3,000 million euros allocated to these grants is exhausted.

Requirements and conditions to apply for the Digital Kit
- Be a small business, micro-enterprise or self-employed.
- Not to be considered a company in crisis.
- Be up to date with tax and Social Security payments.
- Not to incur in any of the prohibitions foreseen in the General Law of Subsidies.
- To be registered in the Census of businessmen, professionals and withholders of the State Agency of Tributary Administration or in the equivalent census of the Foral Tax Administration.
- Not to be subject to a pending recovery order following a previous decision of the European Commission.
- Not to exceed the minimum aid limit (€200,000).
- Have the evaluation of the Digital Maturity Level according to the diagnostic test in the Acelera pyme platform.
